The Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT) has opened applications for the 9th edition of “Catapult: Inclusion Africa,” a program designed to scale fintech solutions across the continent.
This 2026 edition aims to empower 15 innovative startups dedicated to bridging the financial gap for underserved and unbanked populations.
In partnership with ADA and the Luxembourg Directorate for Development Cooperation, the initiative provides a tailored bootcamp focusing on three strategic pillars: Impact, Scaling, and Funding.
The goal of the Catapult: Inclusion Africa is to connect African entrepreneurs with global experts to amplify their local community influence.
The program is split into two intensive weeks of training, starting in the Ivory Coast from 28 June to 03 July 2026.
The second phase takes the selected founders to Luxembourg from 09 to 13 November 2026 for further mentorship and networking.
Participants will engage in masterclasses, hands-on challenges, and pitch sessions designed to deepen their understanding of regulatory frameworks and operational optimization.
They will also connect with influential figures in the global inclusive finance ecosystem, including microfinance institutions and investors.
Funding and benefits
This is a fully funded program where the LHoFT covers primary participation costs for one representative per company.
The organization will reimburse up to €2,000 for round-trip economy travel for each week of the program.
Accommodation is provided at hotels selected by the LHoFT for the duration of both bootcamps.
Additionally, all breakfasts and lunches are included, allowing founders to focus entirely on their professional development and business scaling.
Beyond financial support, winners gain access to a global network of mentors from major financial hubs.
Past alumni have described the experience as a “game-changer” that provides the clarity and trust needed to secure resources and expand operations.
Application requirements and eligibility
The call is open to African fintech companies that have at least a demonstrable Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
While various segments like Agritech, Insurtech, and Payments are targeted, any bold innovation driving financial inclusion is welcome.
Because the 9th edition will be conducted entirely in French, all applicants must be fluent in the language to participate.
Furthermore, a founding team member—typically the CEO—must commit to attending the full two weeks of the program if selected.
Deadline
Fintech leaders ready to accelerate their entrepreneurship journey must submit their digital applications through the official portal.
The final deadline to apply for the 2026 cohort is 23 April 2026.
