The International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) is inviting applications for its 2026 Fellowships, intended to enhance global proficiency in peritoneal dialysis (PD) through rigorous training and knowledge-sharing. There are two types of fellowships: Individual Fellowships, available to healthcare professionals for 6 weeks to 3 months of specialized training at ISPD-accredited centers, offering up to $5,000 to cover expenses; and Doctor-Nurse Team Fellowships, allowing teams from the same institution to participate in a collaborative 6–8 week learning period, with funding up to $9,000 per team.
Eligibility for Individual Fellowships requires applicants to be members or non-members of ISPD, with a strong emphasis on candidates from developing countries, and those from developed regions must be under 40. Doctor-Nurse Team applications necessitate joint submissions with detailed shared goals and supervision arrangements. Selection criteria include clarity of training objectives, center reputation, and potential for enhancing PD services at the applicant's institution, with preferential treatment given to doctor-nurse team applications and local or regional training centers.
To apply, candidates should explore PD centers, confirming their placements directly, and prepare necessary documentation, including training objectives, CV, support letters, and institutional endorsements. Applications must be submitted via the ISPD website by 30 September 2025.
