The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), in partnership with the Wangari Maathai Leadership Lab (WALL), has opened applications for the 2026 AWF–WALL Youth Leadership Program.
This initiative is designed to equip young Africans with the leadership skills, knowledge, and networks needed to drive meaningful change in conservation, climate action, and sustainable development across the continent.
The programme focuses on building a new generation of African leaders who are committed to protecting nature while advancing community wellbeing.
It aims to strengthen participants’ ability to influence policy, lead conservation initiatives, and design solutions that balance environmental protection with social and economic needs.
