Technovation and Generation Unlimited have joined forces to launch the AI Ventures Accelerator, a global initiative designed to transform ideas into investor-ready startups.
The program aims to address a projected skills crisis by equipping 1,000 young women with high-level AI and entrepreneurial training.
This inaugural cohort is part of a broader mission to bridge the representation gap in the tech industry, where women currently hold only 22% of AI roles.
By providing world-class education, the organizers hope to empower a new generation of diverse leaders and innovators.
Over an intensive 12-week period running from March to June 2026, participants will build the technical and business skills required to launch an AI venture.
The AI Ventures Accelerator program focuses on human-centered design and machine learning to solve real-world community problems.
Funding and benefits
A total of $100,000 in equity-free seed funding is available for the top ten teams, allowing them to scale their products without giving up ownership.
Participants gain access to strategic mentorship from industry experts who have successfully navigated the challenges of raising venture capital.
The accelerator is entirely free, offering all curriculum, tools, and professional resources at no cost to the founders.
These finalists will also have the opportunity to pitch their visions live during an inaugural Demo Day event in October.
Even those outside the top ten receive significant value, as the top 25 teams gain post-program incubation support to help secure further venture capital.
All participants join a lifetime global network of alumni with continued access to community resources.
Application requirements and eligibility
The AI Ventures Accelerator is seeking young women aged 19-24 who have a passion for technology and a specific problem they want to solve.
While solo founders are welcome, the program strongly encourages teams of two to four members with complementary skills.
For this first rollout, eligibility is restricted to candidates currently residing in a UNICEF Program Country and those in the United States.
No prior experience in coding or artificial intelligence is required to apply, as the curriculum is built to accommodate all backgrounds.
Applicants must be able to commit approximately 10 to 15 hours per week for the duration of the program.
This time includes attending live workshops, mentorship sessions, and independent project development.
Deadline
The window for applications is currently open, and all materials must be submitted via the online portal by February 22, 2026, at 11:59 ET.
Selected participants will be notified of their acceptance by the end of February to prepare for the March kickoff.
