The KAS Media Africa Local Journalism Award is now open for submissions, celebrating impactful storytelling that amplifies community voices with clarity, fairness, and depth. The award spotlights journalism that reveals challenges, solutions, culture, governance and everyday life across African communities.
Aim
The award aims to uplift journalists who document lived realities with integrity and foster constructive civic dialogue.
It supports reporting that connects local experiences to wider national or global issues, demonstrating how grassroots stories influence broader conversations.
Through this initiative, KAS Media Africa seeks to honour journalists whose work brings critical community issues to the forefront and contributes meaningfully to public understanding.
