This platform gives adoptive families an opportunity to share their experiences and inspire others through their journeys of love and resilience.

The main goal of the initiative is to encourage adoptive parents to share their adoption experiences in order to:

• Inspire others to consider adoption.

• Offer emotional support to those currently navigating the process.

• Build a network of adoptive families who can connect and learn from one another.

By participating, adoptive parents can help change public perceptions of adoption and offer hope to others.

Their stories can serve as valuable guidance and emotional support for individuals and families exploring adoption.

Participants will also join a broader community of adoptive families dedicated to sharing knowledge, compassion and encouragement.

Who can apply

The initiative is open to:

• Adoptive parents who have adopted a child through a recognised adoption agency.

• Parents who have completed the adoption process.

• Families willing to share their stories to inspire and educate others.

How to apply

Participants can submit their stories in different formats, including:

• A PDF document

• An image file (JPEG, JPG, or PNG)

• An MP4 video shared through a Drive link

Submissions must include the participant’s CARINGS registration number.

By sharing their entry, participants give consent for their stories to be featured in the public domain to inspire a wider audience.

Application process

Applicants are required to submit a write-up or video detailing their adoption journey.

The submissions should include:

• A description of their adoption experience

• The challenges they faced along the way

• The joy and fulfillment that adoption has brought to their family

Deadline

Interested participants can apply through the MyGov website before the closing date on November 30.
