Nominations are now open for the 2026 WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award, an international honour celebrating completed, high-impact sustainability achievements.
The award recognises individuals and organisations whose work is driving measurable progress toward a fairer, more resilient world.
This year, the focus is on gender equality as a fundamental pillar of sustainable development.
Focus
The 2026 theme, Gender-Equal Societies, underscores gender equality as essential for stability, safety and inclusive growth.
It highlights the importance of women’s full participation in economic, social and political life—ensuring access to education, land, finance and supportive community systems.
The theme also emphasises how empowering women strengthens families, boosts girls’ school enrolment, supports local economies and enhances community resilience.
Funding details
The award offers two major prizes:

The WIN WIN Award – the main prize, granting $95,000 to an individual or organisation with a proven, transformative sustainability achievement.
