The Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac has opened applications for its Sound Art Residency Programme, designed to support sound artists from Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.

Focus

The residency offers artists time, funding, and institutional support to develop new sound-based works while engaging with the museum’s collections and its commitment to preserving intangible cultural heritage.

Projects should align with themes such as environmental and social justice, zero waste, philosophy, social sciences, policy, science and related interdisciplinary fields.

Funding details

Selected residents will receive $8,000 USD (excluding tax), covering copyright fees, the integration of the final work into the museum’s collections, and the project’s required delivery format.

  • Accommodation, meals, and travel (national or international) for production sessions in Paris and at Le Fresnoy (Tourcoing)

  • Support for production expenses, technical installation, and rights clearance within an allocated budget
