Nominations are now open for the 2026 Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity, which seeks climate solutions already delivering measurable, real-world impact.

The Prize celebrates leaders and initiatives that are tackling climate change in ways that improve lives, restore ecosystems, and address urgent global challenges.

It is designed to recognise achievements with proven momentum—not as lifetime recognition or seed funding, but as a boost to scale solutions that are already working.

Award Prize

Each year, the Prize awards $1 million to an individual, group or organisation whose work shows strong environmental and community impact. If there are multiple laureates, the prize money is shared equally.

Additionally, winners receive global visibility and join a respected network of climate leaders supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
