The Women’s Voice and Leadership Learning Partnership is a global funding initiative that supports women’s rights organisations and feminist groups working to advance gender equality.

The partnership focuses on strengthening the capacity of these organisations to advocate for women’s rights, promote social justice and sustain feminist movements worldwide.

Priority areas

At its core, the initiative aims to support a learning agenda that enhances the effectiveness and reach of the Women’s Voice and Leadership (WVL) programme.

The programme prioritises the promotion of human rights and gender equality—especially in crisis and conflict-affected settings—by creating spaces for peer-to-peer learning, knowledge exchange and capacity building among women’s rights organisations.

Funding support

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) will provide up to CAD 1.2 million to fund the Global Learning Hub project over a four-year period.

The funding will support activities such as:

  • Hosting a global convening for women’s rights organizations

  • Knowledge translation and dissemination

  • Capacity strengthening and leadership development

In addition, regional learning hubs will receive the following allocations:

  • Latin America and the Caribbean: CAD 750,000

  • West and Central Africa: CAD 600,000

  • East and Southern Africa: CAD 950,000
