Two APC women leaders abducted in Kaduna

Two women leaders of the All Progressives Congress or APC in Kaduna State have been kidnapped by bandits along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari area of the state, according to a report by Premium Times. 

This happened while the women were travelling back home after attending the inauguration of the state governor on Monday.

According to Ishaq Usman Kasai, the Chairman of the Birnin Gwari Emirate Progressive Union or BEPU, the incident took place on the highway near the Manini area. 

The bandits stopped the women and other travellers on Tuesday and took them away forcefully.

The two women who were abducted are Hajiya Lami Awarware, the women leader of APC in Birnin Gwari, and her assistant, Hajiya Haulatu Aliyu. 

So far, the kidnappers have not contacted the families of the victims, and there has been no official statement from the government or security agencies regarding the incident.

DSP Mohammed Jalige, the Police Public Relations Officer or PPRO of the state, has mentioned that he does not have detailed information about the incident at this time.
