FRSC returns millions recovered from accident scene to victim’s family

The Federal Road Safety Corps or FRSC, has showered praises on its patrol team in Osun State for returning N27.1 Million found at the scene of an accident to the victim’s family. 

 

Dauda Ali Biu, The Corps Marshal of FRSC, said the team exhibited the ideals of the corp and showed patriotism, promising the personnel in the Command that he will continue to put their welfare first and ensure a conducive working environment for the FRSC officials.

 

Ali Biu explained that the funds were returned in the presence of the DPO Ipetu-Ijesa, Seriki Owena, Ilesa of Benin, and the head of the  Hausa community.

 

The commendation was contained in a statement signed by Bisi Kazeem, the Corps Public Education Officer.

 

“I want to commend the entire team for being patriotic, honest, efficient, and professional in delivering the mandate of the FRSC. This act they showed would never be forgotten as it is considered a great service to humanity. 

 

“I charge every officer to emulate this character exhibited by the team, as good deeds pay off, the road is patient but does not forgive,” he said.

 

Aliu bemoaned the accident and said it would have been avoided if the motorists had adhered to traffic rules and regulations.

 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that two commercial vehicles were involved in the accident and the crash was attributed to dangerous driving and speeding.

 

7 people were injured while 6 others died.
