A European-based Nigerian, identified as “Agbaakin of Europe,” has promised to refund the registration fees of students who hit a score of 275 or higher in the 2024 United Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Agbaakin, who hails from Igboora, a community in south-western Nigeria, made this offer in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“If you write JAMB this year and you’re from “Igboora” with your JAMB score as high as “275” and above, kindly reach out to me, I’ll be returning your JAMB registration money and have you under my mentorship till you’re done with university,” he said.

Promising to mentor the students through their tertiary education, Agbaakin, however, stated that the offer is exclusive to only natives of his community.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have continued to decry the dismal results of the recently concluded examinations, where at least 76 per cent of the results released were below 200.
