FIST Africa, NICCRRA partner to tackle climate, agric challenges in Nigeria

FIST Africa, a leading organization in education, social intervention, and civic engagement, and the Nigerian Center for Climate Resilience and Adaptation (NICCRRA) have officially sealed a groundbreaking partnership. The partnership aims to foster collaboration on critical issues relating to climate-resilient agricultural development across Nigeria.

The signing ceremony took place at the NICCRRA head office in Abuja, with representatives from both organizations present to formalize the agreement. Ekwe Emmanuel, Program Director for FIST Africa, and Mr. Abdullahi Geidam, Executive Director for NICCRRA, signed the partnership agreement in the presence of other team members.

This partnership between FIST Africa and NICCRRA signifies a joint commitment to addressing the challenges posed by climate change and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in Nigeria.

Specifically, the collaboration will focus on: implementing strategies to enhance the resilience of communities and ecosystems to the impacts of climate change, developing and implementing innovative agricultural projects that promote sustainable practices and improve food security, and engaging in joint research initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities to advance understanding and solutions for climate and agricultural challenges.

“This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our collective efforts to address the pressing issues of climate change and agricultural sustainability in Nigeria. By combining our strengths and expertise, FIST Africa and NICCRRA will make a lasting impact on the communities we serve,” Emmanuel, said.
