KADIPA facilitates more than $425 Million worth of investment into Kaduna

The Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency has revealed that it facilitated and actualized $425 million worth of investments into Kaduna in 2022.

 

Khalil Nur Khalil, Executive Secretary of the agency made this known while speaking on the scorecard of the agency at the last quarterly meeting of the board in Kaduna the state capital.

 

At the meeting chaired by Dr Hadiza Balarabe, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Khalil said the agency also tracked the creation of 21,500 jobs and the generation of $1.2 million of internally generated revenue for the Kaduna State Government.

 

His words, “KADIPA has assisted the state in generating revenues of N236.6 million through payments of premiums by greenfield investors that have been allocated land and brownfield investments via payments received from the privatization of state-owned assets.”

 

However, in the year 2023, the agency didn’t stop but rather started working towards achieving the actualization of $600 million worth of investments, tracking the generation of 50,000 jobs, and to generate $10 million worth of revenue for the state government of Kaduna.

 

The investment promotion agency has provided huge opportunities in the last few years to private sector investors in agriculture, manufacturing, mining, tourism, and a host of others. Thereby making Kaduna a hub for investors and one of the most resourceful business environments in Nigeria.

 

The agency also said it made remarkable achievements in expanding the investment portfolio of Kaduna State from $2.875 billion to $4.487 billion and the creation of over 50,000 proposed direct and indirect jobs.
