RIoT has officially launched the search for its next cohort of innovators to join the RIoT Accelerator Program (RAP) for the spring 2026 cycle.
This 12-week high-touch initiative is designed to empower entrepreneurs as they disrupt the status quo and advance emerging technologies like IoT, AI, and Data.
The program serves as a critical bridge for startups ready to transition from groundbreaking concepts into successful, scalable businesses.
By focusing on a customer-first approach and revenue-driven growth, RIoT provides a structured environment for founders to work on their business rather than just in it.
While RIoT works with startups from all over the world, the upcoming spring cohort will be hosted in-person in Wilson, North Carolina.
Funding and benefits
One of the most significant advantages of the program is that it is offered at no cost and takes no equity stake from participating startups.
Selected teams will participate in a mix of weekly workshops and personalized mentoring sessions starting in late March.
This allows founders to access elite resources and professional training without any financial obligations.
Participants gain access to a massive network of over 200 mentors and corporate partners, including industry giants like Microsoft and Arrow.
These experts provide one-on-one guidance to address specific business challenges ranging from product development to go-to-market strategies.
Following the 12-week program, graduates receive lifetime alumni benefits, including access to the Founders’ Roundtable peer advising network.
Additionally, completed startups receive a complimentary one-year RIoT Groundbreaker Sponsorship to maintain their momentum in the tech community.
Application requirements and eligibility
The program is open to technology-based startups across all industries, particularly those leveraging machine learning, blockchain, cybersecurity, and robotics.
RIoT accepts a mix of early-stage entrepreneurs, growth-stage startups, and even corporate innovation teams looking to act like a startup.
To be eligible, at least one founder must be dedicated full-time to the venture and actively engage throughout the program.
Teams must be prepared to commit approximately eight hours per week to workshops and mentoring, with sessions typically concentrated on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
While the program is stage-agnostic, the selection committee prioritizes teams that have already validated a proof of concept.
Applicants must demonstrate strong ethics, perseverance, and a scalability model that shows potential for significant market impact.
Deadline
The application window for the spring cohort is currently open and will strictly close on February 20, 2026. Following a review period, the program is scheduled to kick off on March 31, 2026, and will conclude in late June.
