The Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation has officially opened its 2026 grant application cycle, inviting organizations across Africa to apply for support.
This initiative aims to foster sustainable communities by partnering with institutions that offer innovative solutions to social, economic, and environmental hurdles.
For this cycle, the foundation is prioritizing scalable, high-impact programs that utilize community mobilization and technology.
There is a specific emphasis on ensuring the inclusion of marginalized and vulnerable groups, such as women, rural youth, and persons with disabilities.
Funding and benefits
Selected organizations receive grants designed to ensure sustainable action within the foundation’s priority focus areas.
These focus areas include health interventions, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and environmental sustainability.
Beyond financial support, the ACT Foundation provides comprehensive guidance to its implementing partners throughout every stage of the grant process.
This collaborative approach is intended to overturn negative development trajectories across the African continent.
Application requirements and eligibility
To be eligible, an organization must be a registered non-profit or social enterprise that has operated within an African country for at least two years.
Applicants are required to demonstrate a strong governance structure, including a functional Board of Directors or Trustees.
The foundation requires that applying organizations have a minimum staff strength of three full-time or part-time paid individuals.
Additionally, organizations must show evidence of other funding sources and provide matching funds for the proposed project.
Interventions must be implemented within Africa and specifically address challenges in the foundation’s established focus areas.
Collaboration between two or more organizations is encouraged and considered an added advantage during the selection process.
The program strictly excludes applications from individuals, political parties, or entities that have mismanaged funds in the past.
Furthermore, organizations that advocate for illegal activities or inhumane policies are ineligible for any foundation support.
Deadline
The application window is brief, officially opening on January 19, 2026, and closing on January 30, 2026.
All submissions must be received by 11:59 pm West Africa Time (WAT) to be considered for the current cycle.
