The GLOBED Master’s Programme has officially opened its call for applications, seeking highly motivated graduates for its high-level, scientific, and theory-oriented curriculum.

This prestigious graduate degree is designed for those who have successfully completed a first-cycle Bachelor’s degree and are ready to tackle global education challenges.

With a heavy emphasis on research and project-based learning, the program prepares its students to critically engage with international policy and development practice.

The curriculum offers an interdisciplinary experience grounded in educational sciences while integrating various social science disciplines.

The programme operates as an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master and has secured continued Erasmus+ funding for the 2023–2029 period.

Funding and benefits

Eligible applicants can compete for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) scholarship, which provides significant financial support for their studies.

In a commitment to inclusive education, the program offers two special needs scholarships for students with certified long-term physical, mental, or sensory impairments.

These financial contributions range from EUR 3,000 to EUR 60,000 to cover specific participation requirements and services.

Beyond direct funding, all partner universities provide comprehensive support services, including medical and mental health centers.

Students also benefit from dedicated disability offices, online wellbeing platforms, and barrier-free campus facilities to ensure full participation in academic life.

Application requirement

Candidates must hold a minimum three-year Bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 180 ECTS credits, in Educational Sciences or related fields such as Sociology, Political Science, or International Relations.

While those from other fields may apply, their backgrounds may receive a minor qualification during the formal evaluation process.

Academic excellence is a prerequisite, with a required minimum average of 7/10, a C grade, or a GPA of 2.75/4.

Furthermore, applicants must demonstrate high proficiency in English through accepted tests like TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge Advanced (C1).

The submission package must include a mandatory Europass CV and a one-page motivation letter explaining the applicant’s interest in GLOBED and their future goals.

Official diplomas and transcripts must be provided in their original language alongside translations in English or Spanish.

Deadline

The programme is currently accepting submissions for the upcoming academic intakes eligible for Erasmus Mundus scholarships. Potential candidates are urged to visit the official website to complete their applications and review specific cutoff times for the 2026 cycle.
