The Deji Alli ARM Young Talent Award (DAAYTA) has opened applications for its 2026 cohort, inviting young Nigerian entrepreneurs with bold, socially driven and commercially viable business ideas.
The award is designed as a comprehensive entrepreneurial development programme, combining funding, training, and mentorship to support early-stage founders.
Focus
DAAYTA prioritises business ideas that intentionally create positive social impact while remaining financially sustainable. Special consideration is given to solutions that improve livelihoods, stimulate economic growth and contribute to environmental sustainability.
The award reflects ARM’s long-term commitment to supporting innovation that addresses real societal challenges.
Funding details
The winner of DAAYTA 2026 will receive up to $8,000 in funding, disbursed over one year to support business development.
In addition to a five-month acceleration programme at a leading innovation hub in Lagos, the award includes a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management at the Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos.
DAAYTA offers structured mentorship, business advisory services and access to ARM’s professional network.
Who can apply
DAAYTA is a competitive award open to young founders who meet the following criteria:

Nigerian citizens aged 18–35.

Founders of registered limited liability companies.

Start-ups with a minimum viable product and an existing customer base.

Businesses operating in sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, housing or transportation.

Applicants fully committed to all DAAYTA activities and timelines.
Nominee requirements
Shortlisted nominees must be willing to complete all stages of the programme, including:

The entrepreneurial education programme.

The five-month accelerator.

A two-day pitch workshop scheduled for April 15–16, 2026.

The final pitch event on April 17, 2026.
Nominees are also expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of ARM’s business values and readiness to serve as ARM Ambassadors.
