The Global Entrepreneurs and Leaders Academy (GELA) has launched applications for its 2026 mentorship and skills development programme, aimed at reducing youth unemployment by equipping young people for leadership roles in business, politics and civic service.

The initiative combines virtual learning with global collaboration, ensuring participants can access quality training regardless of location.

Aim

GELA supports young people aged 18–35 through a structured hybrid model designed to identify, mentor and deploy emerging leaders into key sectors.

The programme places a strong emphasis on inclusion, prioritising marginalised groups, people of colour, and economically disadvantaged youth.

Participants will learn in a gamified environment intended to boost employability, confidence and leadership capability.

Funding details

The programme is valued at $100 USD per participant and offered at no cost to selected applicants who demonstrate passion and readiness to learn.

Successful participants will receive:

  • Soft-skill and leadership training.

  • Professional grooming.

  • Access to international mentors.

  • An internationally recognised certification.

The experience includes a three-month curriculum-based mentorship delivered by a United Nations–affiliated social enterprise. Outstanding graduates may also access internship or job placement opportunities.

Applicants must:

  • Be under 35 years old.

  • Have reliable internet access.

  • Be willing to learn and collaborate.

  • Be open to diversity and networking.
