The Allianz x Social Shifters MoveNow Global Social Innovation Challenge is now open for applications from young innovators developing solutions to real-world social problems.
The challenge targets projects and startups aligned with one of three themes: financial empowerment & inclusion, health & wellbeing and climate resilience.
The goal is to support practical, scalable solutions capable of driving lasting change in underserved communities. MoveNow — the Allianz Global Social Impact programme — places young people at the heart of its mission to accelerate social change.
Funding details
Winners will receive up to $10,000, with each category offering one $10,000 grant and three $5,000 grants.
Finalists also gain access to expert mentorship from Allianz specialists, tailored startup coaching and premium learning resources.
All eligible applicants will be welcomed into a global network that provides year-round training, funding opportunities, and community support.
Who can apply
The challenge is strictly youth-led, ensuring young innovators play a defining role in shaping and leading their solutions. Applicants must demonstrate real decision-making authority within their teams or organisations.
Qualifications

Applicants must be 18–30 years old on or before the submission deadline.

A valid government-issued ID is required for age verification.

Young people must hold 51% or more ownership or leadership of the project or startup.

Decision-making authority must rest primarily with team members within the eligible age range.
Requirements
Applicants must submit a project clearly aligned with at least one programme focus area. Proposals should demonstrate early progress or strong potential, outline realistic goals and explain how the idea will produce measurable social impact.
Depending on the application stage, entrants may be required to submit a video pitch, short written proposal or project overview.

Eligible applicants can apply via the Social Shifters website before December 12, 2025.
