Foundation S, the Sanofi Global Health initiative, has launched the 2025 Climate Action & Health Resilience Grants to support community-led projects tackling health risks linked to extreme heat and air pollution.
Aim
The grants support initiatives that help communities anticipate, mitigate and respond to the health impacts of climate change.
Foundation S encourages the use of science, technology, and innovation—including early warning systems, artificial intelligence and community-driven data tools—to design scalable, evidence-based solutions that can be replicated across regions.
Grant details
Successful applicants will receive between €50,000 and €100,000 per year for 12 to 24 months, with a possible 12-month extension based on project performance.
At least 80% of the funds must be spent directly within the target communities to ensure tangible, on-the-ground impact and sustainable capacity building.
Who can apply
The call is open to organisations with a strong track record of community engagement, including:
● Community-based organisations (CBOs)
● Local NGOs and civil society organisation (CSO) networks
● National or international NGOs with proven local implementation capacity
Eligibility
Preference will be given to organisations that:
-
Demonstrate strong community ownership and leadership
