FIP leadership scholarships now open for young pharmacists

The FIP Foundation, in partnership with the Early Career Pharmaceutical Group (ECPG) and the Regional Forums, is inviting applications for the 2026 Early Career Leadership Development Scholarships.

This initiative supports young pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, and educators from developing countries to attend the FIP World Congress and participate in the Leadership Development Workshop—a programme designed to cultivate global leadership in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.

Aim

The scholarship aims to equip emerging professionals with the leadership skills, global exposure, and professional insights needed to shape the future of pharmacy practice and education.

Funding details

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Full registration for the FIP World Congress

  • Five nights of accommodation (up to $750)

  • Visa fee reimbursement, where applicable

  • Additional travel support based on regional travel costs

  • One-year Individual Membership of FIP

  • Mentorship from experienced professionals

  • Access to exclusive networking sessions with global leaders in the pharmaceutical sector

Who can apply

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a pharmacist, pharmaceutical scientist or pharmacy educator.

  • Have graduated within the last eight years with their first degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences.

  • Reside, work, or study in a low-, lower-middle- or upper-middle-income country (as classified by the World Bank).

  • Be assessed under the WHO region of their country of residence or study.

  • Have not previously received financial support or a scholarship from the FIP Foundation.

  • Membership in an FIP national organisation is not required.

How to apply

Applicants must complete an online application form outlining their professional background and motivation.

Submissions should include:

  • A personal statement detailing leadership experience, contributions to pharmacy or education, and how the opportunity will impact their community.

  • Proof of qualification.

  • A letter of recommendation.

All applications must adhere to the FIP Foundation’s guidelines for consideration.

Deadline

The application deadline is January 7, 2026.
