A new grant initiative is enabling young people to take the lead in addressing challenges related to clean water, sanitation and community resilience.
The programme is a joint effort between the UNCCD Youth Caucus and Protectol’s Water Initiative, designed to promote sustainable development through youth-led projects. It aims to strengthen access to safe water, improve sanitation practices, and build community awareness around proper hydration and hygiene.
A key focus is empowering youth organisations to design and deliver impactful projects that advance Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation). For its pilot phase, four projects will be selected, with each receiving grants ranging from USD 2,000 to USD 2,500.
Who can apply
Eligible applicants must:
-
Be youth-led organisations or groups based in Africa or South Asia.
