The Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies is inviting postdoctoral scholars to apply for the Jean Monnet Fellowships.
Hosted at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy, the programme is designed for early-career researchers seeking time and space to advance their work in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
The fellowship allows scholars to dedicate themselves fully to research—free from teaching or administrative obligations—while engaging with a vibrant academic community.
What the fellowship offers

A monthly grant of €2,500 to support the fellow’s stay in Florence (note: this is not a salary).

Fellows are responsible for arranging their own health insurance.

Who can apply
The fellowship is open to scholars of all nationalities in the early stages of their academic careers. Applicants must:

Have earned a PhD within the last five years.

Demonstrate a strong research record and international experience.

Be able to conduct independent research in a multidisciplinary setting.
