The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is inviting applications for its Young Reporters Programme, a training opportunity that will take place during the Youth Olympic Games (YOG).
This initiative is designed to mentor the next generation of sports journalists, offering intensive, hands-on experience in a real-world setting at one of the world’s most dynamic multi-sport events.
What the programme offers
Selected participants will benefit from a fully funded opportunity, with the IOC covering travel, accommodation, and tuition costs.
Young Reporters will gain firsthand experience covering sports across multiple platforms—print, photography, television, radio, and digital media—and develop the skills needed to thrive in a fast-paced international media environment.
Who can apply
The IOC aims to assemble a diverse group of talented young reporters from across the globe. Selection is coordinated by the Continental Associations of National Olympic Committees (NOCs) to ensure broad representation.
Applicants must be:

Aspiring young journalists endorsed by their respective NOCs in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, or Oceania.

Between 21 and 25 years old as of 31 October 2026.
