The NurseHack4Health Pitch-A-Thon invites nurses and nurse-led teams to bring forward powerful ideas aimed at improving health and healthcare for all.
This initiative specifically seeks innovative solutions designed to create systemic and sustainable change. The primary goal is to foster a thriving workforce, cultivate healthier work environments, and ultimately, ensure better care for patients.
Application criteria and funding Details
Applicants can participate through three distinct tracks:
- Track 1: For health systems and nursing organizations in high-resource countries
- Track 2: for health systems and nursing organizations in low to mid-resource countries
- Track 3: Specifically for US-only Nurse-Founded Startups.
- For Tracks 1 and 2, teams must be nurse-led, interdisciplinary, and affiliated with a 501(c)(3) non-profit or global equivalent, or have a fiscal sponsor.Funding and other benefits
- A substantial total of $385,000 in grant funding is available to support these groundbreaking initiatives.
- Tracks 1 and 2 each offer up to $175,000 in grant funding
- Track 3 offers up to $35,000, with all grants supported by the Johnson & Johnson Foundation.
- Note that Track 3 is open to nurse-led startups registered in the United States with less than $50,000 in capital.
- Top entries will be invited to pitch their innovative solutions at a virtual session on November 19, 2025
- Finalist teams will receive dedicated coaching support during an Innovation Accelerator from October 15 to November 10, 2025
