The federal government has opened applications for the EmpowerHER financial literacy programme 2025, a nationwide initiative targeted to support 100,000 Nigerian women with practical skills in financial management and digital literacy.
The programme is organised by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, in partnership with Kudimata Nigeria Ltd, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen women’s economic participation and entrepreneurship across the country.
Through the training, the participants will acquire skills in personal and business management, learn to use digital financial tools, and access resources that support the creation of sustainable business opportunities.
In addition, successful applicants will receive international certification upon completion of the programme, boosting their competitiveness in regional and global markets.
The initiative targets Nigerian women who are starting or currently running small businesses and who are committed to completing the training.
Selected participants will also gain access to empowerment opportunities, ranging from mentorship to business support networks.
By bridging the knowledge gap in financial literacy and digital adoption, EmpowerHER seeks to unlock the potential of women as key contributors to national economic growth. Applications are now open for interested women nationwide.
