The Spotlight NG is now taking applications for the Youth Local Government Accountability Fellowship. This is a program made to help young people take part in improving local governance, promoting transparency, and making their communities better.

The goal is to give young people the skills and support they need to hold leaders accountable, take part in civic activities, and help solve local problems.

Selected fellows will start with a 2-day Local Governance Accountability Bootcamp. After that, they will join a 3-month Leadership Development Program and 3-month mentorship sessions. Fellows will also get seed funding to run a project in their local government area that will make a real difference.

These projects will focus on improving governance and accountability in the fellow’s community. The aim is to see clear, positive changes that people can feel in their daily lives.

A special part of the program is the Youth Idea Summit, where fellows can share their stories, meet other young leaders, and show the results of their projects. This is a chance to get noticed and to learn from others doing similar work.

The program will give you leadership skills, practical tools, and guidance to help you make a difference in your state. You will also meet other people who care about accountability and want to work together for change.
