The Coalition for Sustainable Development through Sport is looking for strong projects to apply for its Global Sport Impact Fund—projects that use sport to make a big difference in people’s lives.
It wants ideas that can earn money and also create real social and environmental benefits. This is the first call for applications to join the starting group of projects for the Global Sport Impact Fund (GSIF).

The goal is to prepare a list of high-quality projects before the Fund officially launches, finding investment-ready ideas or projects that just need some help to get ready.

Overall, they are looking for projects that are sustainable in three ways: financially (can earn money or recover costs), socially (help people’s health and inclusion), and environmentally (reduce harm to the planet and help communities adapt to climate change).
Funding details
- Projects can ask for funding between EUR 500,000 and EUR 1.5 million for small to medium ideas, including pilot projects. Bigger projects
- Those with buildings or a wider reach can ask for EUR 1.5 million to EUR 5 million.
Who can apply?
- Applications from social enterprises, non-profits, NGOs, sport federations, Olympic committees, and community-based organizations, public authorities (local or national governments), and sport agencies are welcomed.
- Private groups can apply only if their project clearly serves the public and has strong social goals.
- All applicants must have good governance, be transparent, and show they can deliver results.
