Applications are now open for the 2025 Africa-Europe Foundation (AEF) Youth Awards, designed to recognise and support young African changemakers who are creating positive impact in their communities.
Organised by the Africa-Europe Foundation, the awards celebrate inspiring, youth-led initiatives that align with the Foundation’s core thematic areas: health, climate and energy, education and skills, digital transformation and sustainable growth.
This year’s edition aims to spotlight exceptional young leaders who are shaping a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient future for both Africa and Europe through innovative and impactful action.
Young Africans from all sectors are encouraged to apply and share how their work is advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and building bridges between continents.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:

Be African citizens aged 18–35.

Be leading or co-leading a project or initiative with measurable social impact.

Align their work with one or more of AEF’s focus areas.

Be from any sector—civil society, the private sector, academia or beyond.
