The 2025 World Food Day Poster Contest is now open to young artists aged 5 to 19 from around the world. Organised by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), the contest invites participants to show how better food leads to a better future—one that is peaceful, sustainable, and food-secure for all.

This year’s theme encourages young creatives to design a poster that sparks action and highlights how people, communities, and nature can work together to build a healthier planet.

 Prizes and Recognition

  • 60 finalists (15 per age group) will be shortlisted and receive official certificates.

  • 3 winners per category will be selected by an expert jury.

 Benefits

  • Winning posters will be featured on the official World Food Day website.

  • Designs will be promoted globally across FAO platforms and social media.

  • Winners will receive a Certificate of Recognition and a surprise gift bag.

Who Can Enter?

  • Children and youth aged 5 to 19 from any country.

  • Parental or guardian permission is required for minors.

Entry Guidelines

  • Participation is free and limited to one entry per person.

  • Posters can be drawn, painted, or sketched using traditional or digital tools. Mixed media is allowed.

  • Photographs and fully AI-generated images are not accepted.

  • Text is optional and must not exceed 25 words or 100 characters.

  • Entries must be submitted in JPEG format via the official online form.
