The Federal Government of Nigeria is now accepting applications for the 2025 Presidential Amnesty Scholarship, a well-funded initiative under the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

The scholarship is designed to support eligible candidates from the Niger Delta region in pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies at selected Nigerian universities.

What the Scholarship Covers

The award covers tuition and other educational expenses for successful candidates seeking formal tertiary education.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an indigene of one of the Niger Delta states: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, or Rivers.

  • Only candidates with 2025 JAMB results are eligible.

  • Applications can be submitted and saved pending the release of JAMB results.

  • Only new entrants into 100 level are eligible for the undergraduate scholarship.

  • Undergraduate applicants must present 2025/2026 JAMB and O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or both).

  • Undergraduate recipients must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 5.0 scale or 2.0 on a 4.0 scale per session to retain the scholarship.

For Undergraduate Applicants:

  • O’Level results (WAEC/NECO) with a minimum of 5 credits, including English and Mathematics

  • 2025/2026 JAMB Result

  • Local Government Area (LGA) Identification Letter

For Postgraduate Applicants:

  • Statement of Result or Degree Certificate

  • Academic Transcript

  • NYSC Certificate
