The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) is inviting applications for its Youth Solidarity Fund (YSF), a global initiative to empower young people to spearhead change in their communities.

This programme provides seed funding of up to USD 25,000 to support innovative youth-led projects that promote intercultural and interfaith dialogue, peace, and social inclusion.

Since its inception in 2008, the fund has supported 80 youth-led projects across 43 countries.

Priority Areas

The YSF supports projects that promote:

  • Youth, Peace, and Security
  • Women
  • Projects that promote intercultural and interfaith dialogue as a prevention tool.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested organisations should:

  • Be led by people between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • Be a registered non-profit, non-governmental organisation.
  • Have been operational for a minimum of 2 years prior to the deadline for applications.
  • Have a democratic governance structure and decision-making mechanism.

Application Process

To apply, organisations should submit the following:

  • A copy of the registration certificate of the applicant’s organisation.
  • A copy of the statutes/by-laws of the applicant’s organisation.
  • An illustrative chart depicting the ages of key decision-makers within the organisation.
