The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of its 2025 recruitment exercise. Starting Thursday, June 26, qualified candidates can apply online for various vacant positions across the four paramilitary agencies.

Available Positions

Category A: General Duty – Superintendent Cadre

  1. Superintendent of Corrections (CONHESS 02)

    • Available only in the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS)

    • Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from a recognised institution.

  2. Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09)

    • Available only in the Federal Fire Service (FFS)

    • Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Water, or related fields) or Law (LL.B, LLM).

  3. Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08)

    • Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma from a recognised institution.

Category B: Inspectorate Cadre

  1. Inspector (CONHESS 06)

    • Requirements: NCE or National Diploma (ND) in a relevant field from a recognised polytechnic.

Category C: Assistant Cadre

  1. Assistant II – General Duty (CONPASS 04)

    • Requirements: GCE O’Level, SSCE/NECO or equivalent with at least two sittings, including English and Mathematics; or Trade Test Grade II in relevant fields such as motor mechanics or auto electrician.

  2. Assistant III – General Duty/Drivers/Appliance Operators/Artisans (CONPASS 03)

    • Requirements: GCE O’Level, SSCE/NECO or equivalent with at least four credits in not more than two sittings; or Trade Test Grade III.

General Requirements

  • Only apply to one of the four paramilitary agencies. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification.

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.

  • Must possess relevant educational qualifications.

  • Must be physically and mentally fit with a medical certificate from a government hospital.

  • Must be of good character and free from financial embarrassment.

  • Age: 18 to 35 years.

  • Height: Minimum of 1.65 m for men, 1.60 m for women.

  • Chest measurement (for men): Not less than 0.87 m.

  • Computer literacy is an added advantage.
