Young Nigerian graduates now have the opportunity to gain hands-on technical training in various industry fields, courtesy of the Nigerian Breweries Technical Skills Development Programme.

This initiative, a collaboration between the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), and Nigerian Breweries Plc, invites applications for a rigorous 9-month technical training programme designed to build in-demand skills in:

  • Mechanical/Automation Maintenance & Engineering

  • Quality Assurance

  • Logistics & Distribution

Training will take place at the Nigerian Breweries Supply Chain Academy in Ibadan, with practical attachments at any of the company’s brewery locations in Lagos, Aba, Ibadan, Enugu, Ota, Ijebu Ode, or Kaduna. Please note that the programme is non-residential.

Programme Objectives

  • Equip youths with employable technical and science-based skills

  • Promote a public–private sector partnership in vocational and technical training

  • Contribute to national capacity development

Benefits

  • Free tuition and lunch.

  • Monthly stipend (note: this is not a salaried role).

  • Practical experience at Nigerian Breweries facilities.

Please note: Participation in this programme does not confer employment status with Nigerian Breweries. Candidates are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation, and meals during the selection process.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

General Requirements

  • Graduated not earlier than 2022.

  • Must have completed NYSC by the time of application.

  • Must be of sound character with strong learning potential.

  • Must present original credentials during screening.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Academic Qualifications

  • Minimum of five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry

  • For Mechatronics, Packaging, Brewing, Utilities Operations, and Corrective Maintenance:

    • HND (minimum of Lower Credit) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Physics, Instrumentation Engineering, or Computer Engineering

  • For Quality Assurance and Logistics Operations:

    • ND (minimum of Lower Credit) in Chemical Engineering, Biological or Physical Sciences, Food Science Technology, Laboratory Science, or Applied Physics
